  1. BOOKING OVER THE TELEPHONE:
    1. Dial your distributor.
    2. Quote your consumer number and state that you need a mechanic to attend gas leakage. 
    3. The clerk will ask the name of customer (for confirmation). 
    4. If correct, the clerk will give you a waitlist number and also indicate the approximate time by which the mechanic will be sent to attend the gas leakage
      (Please carry out Emergency Procedure).
  2. BOOKING by Email / Webpage:
    1. Log in and reach the web page, which has provisions for online booking for Repair and Service. 
    2. Enter your consumer number 
    3. The system will ask for confirmation. 
    4. If correct submit 
    5. Your request will be passed on to the distributor by the Webmaster.
      (Please carry out Emergency Procedure).

NORMALLY, LEAKAGE COMPLAINTS INVOLVING CYLINDER AND REGULATOR WILL BE ATTENDED WITHIN 2 HOURS.

SERVICE COMPLAINTS AND OTHER REQUESTS SUCH AS FIXING A RUBBER TUBE ETC., WILL BE ATTENDED AT THE EARLIEST, But generally NOT LATER THAN 24 HOURS.

Attending to leakage complaint in Cylinder and Pressure Regulator is free of cost.

7.Registering for a leakage complaint on holidays.

In order to ensure the safety of LPG consumers at all times, the Oil Industry in India has started a novel scheme in 1990. This scheme is called The Emergency service cell (ESC).

The ESC operates after office hours of the LPG distributorships and on Sundays and other General holidays, when the LPG distributorships are generally closed. The ESC operates at all cities and towns, which have more than one LPG distributorships of any PSU Oil Company. The services rendered by the ESC are free of cost to the LPG customers of any of the PSU Oil Companies.

The responsibilities of the ESC are to attend leakage of LPG from Cylinder or the Regulator only. ESC does not carry out servicing of hotplate or replacement of rubber tube and other spares in the LPG hotplate. In other words, the role of ESC is emergent in nature and will attend to only those items which if not attended too immediately, could endanger life and property.

The PSU Oil Companies and the distributors jointly do the funding for the functioning of the ESC in India. While the Oil Companies pays 50 % of the cost, all the distributors for whose area the ESC operates equally share balance of the 50 %.

8.Procedure for replacement of Pressure Regulator or Cylinder {Form VR (No. LPG 46A)} Top

An INDANE customer is issued with LPG cylinder/s & pressure regulator (PR) for his/her use against refundable deposit (which does not carry any interest). 1.Registering a complaint to sort out a Grievance

  1. At the distributorship level 
    1. Meet the owner of the distributorship and submit a written complaint about your problem.
    2. Take acknowledgement for the same.
    3. Give a day or two for the solution.
  2. At Area/Divisional office level:
    1. If not satisfied with solution above, meet the customer service cell officer of the Oil Company 
    2. Or meet the Area Manager or the Divisional Manager on a designated time and day, the details of which are displayed at these offices. 
  3. At State level:
    1. If not satisfied with solution above, meet the Senior officer in charge of LPG at the state office of the Oil Company.
    2. Or meet the STATE LEVEL CO-ORDINATOR FOR PETROLEUM PRODUCTS on a designated time and day, the details of which are displayed at these offices. 
  4. At Regional level
    1. If not satisfied with solution above, write to the PRO at the Regional office of the Oil Company. 
    2. Or write to the REGIONAL LEVEL CO-ORDINATOR FOR PETROLEUM PRODUCTS.
  5. At Head office level:
    1. Write to General manager (LPG) of the Oil Company to which your distributor belongs.
  6. At Ministry level:
    1. Write to the Secretary, MOP & NG, Government of India, New Delhi.

2.Registering for a new Indane gas connection

  1. Ascertain and choose your INDANE distributor from the distributor locator.
  2. Visit the showroom of the chosen INDANE distributor with one of the address proof (as per details in LIST). Carry both the original and the copy 
  3. It is now mandatory to have a computerized Ration Card in order to get a new domestic gas connection from any PSU Oil Company in the State of Karnataka (Refer procedure to get a new Ration Card and where to get the ration card from
  4. The INDANE distributor will enter your name and address in a document called “INDANE CUSTOMER REGISTRATION REGISTER (FOR NEW CONNECTION)  (Form No. SL-69)”. 
  5. A copy of the same will be handed over to you with the signature of the distributor. The distributor,  for future reference will retain a copy of the same with your signature. 
  6. You will be intimated by post (under certificate of posting) immediately on maturity of your registration. Registration for new gas connection with an INDANE distributor is free of cost.

3.Procedure to get a new domestic INDANE gas connection.

You have already registered with your nearest INDANE distributor for a new INDANE gas connection (NC) of format SL-69 

Once you get written intimation by post that your wait list for NC has matured. Visit the showroom of the INDANE distributor with all the documents asked for in the intimation letter. 

It is now mandatory to have a computerized Ration Card in order to get a new domestic gas connection from any PSU Oil Company in the State of Karnataka (Refer procedure to get a new Ration Card and where to get the ration card from

The INDANE distributor will check his records, ascertain the booking, check your supporting documents and instruct his/her staff to make necessary documents to enroll you as customer of INDANE. 

In case you do not posses a LPG hot plate (stove) you can buy one from the distributor. 

In case you already possess a LPG hotplate (stove) then you are required to make an entry to this effect in a register kept for this purpose. After this a mechanic will visit and inspect the same. An approved charge for Rs 100.00 will have to be paid for this. 

Once the formality of LPG hotplate is completed, the staff will prepare an document called Subscription Voucher(SV), against which security deposit, which is interest free will have to be paid for by you. 

In addition, approved charges as per list will have to be paid for by you. 

At the time of documentation you will be required to submit an affidavit to the effect you do not possess any other Domestic LPG connection of any other PSU Oil Company

 

4.Procedure to get a new Non- domestic INDANE gas connection.

5.Procedure to get duplicate Domestic Gas Consumer Card (DGCC).

All domestic users of subsidized LPG are issued with Domestic Gas Consumer Card.

This is a very important document which the gas consumer must keep in his/her possession at all times. 

In case this is lost follow the procedure below 

Visit the showroom of your INDANE distributor with an application on plain paper to the effect that you have lost the DGCC. 

Carry your Subscription Voucher and your old refill bills for identification. 

After verification of the your customer history, the distributor will issue a duplicate DGCC. 

At present the charges for the same are Rs 15.00

8.Procedure for replacement of Pressure Regulator or Cylinder {Form VR (No. LPG 46A)} Top

Case I: By payment of Tariff Deposit amount:This procedure is applicable when the customer reports loss/theft to the Police and gets an FIR. The following procedure is to be adopted:

  1. Customer to report loss/theft to his jurisdictional police station and gets an FIR.
  2. Customer to approach his INDANE distributor with an application, FIR in original, his/her subscription voucher (one set of Copy of SV), his/her DGC card (Blue book) for verification. 
  3. Along with documents in 2 above, demand draft as detailed in Tariff Deposit in favor of M/s IOC, payable at Bangalore (For all customer of INDANE in South Karnataka, covered under Bangalore Area Office). 
  4. After verification of all the documents submitted as above, the INDANE distributor will prepare VR (LPG 46A) and issue the replacement equipment/s.

Case II: By payment of Penal Tariff Deposit amount:This procedure is applicable when the customer has damaged the equipment or prefers to pay a higher penalty without getting the police FIR.

  1. Customer to report damage of LPG equipment in writing to his/her INDANE distributor. 
  2. Customer to approach his INDANE distributor with an application, his/her subscription voucher (one set of Copy of SV), his/her DGC card (Blue book) for verification. 
  3. Along with documents in 2 above, demand draft as detailed in Penal Tariff Deposit in favor of M/s IOC, payable at Bangalore (For all customer of INDANE in South Karnataka, covered under Bangalore Area Office). 
  4. After verification of all the documents submitted as above, the INDANE distributor will prepare VR (LPG 46A) and issue the replacement equipment/s.

Details of Tariff Deposits & Penal Tariff Deposits payable are as per details in  Chart.

9.Proecdure to connect & disconnect cylinders by non domestic users

(For Non domestic users like Hotels, Canteens, factory and the likes who use multiple number of cylinders through a manifold system)

  1. TO DISCONNECT EMPTY CYLINDER FROM THE MANIFOLD:
    1. Put out all open flames and fires in the cookhouse.
    2. Close all the taps on the burner.
    3. Disconnect the cylinder and adopter by turning the knob on the cylinder adopter so that the arrow/small end points vertically downwards. 
    4. Grip the adopter and gently lift it away from the cylinder valve. 
    5. Put the safety cap, on to cylinder valve. Now the empty cylinder can be removed from the manifold.
  2. TO CONNECT FULL CYLINDER TO THE MANIFOLD:
    1. First remove the safety cap on the cylinder by pulling the cord, and lift the cap off the valve. 
    2. Fix the adopter on the full cylinder.
    3. Turn the knob of the adopter to horizontal position and lock it to cylinder valve. 
    4. To use gas, turn the knob so that the arrow/small end points upward and open burner knob.
  3. TO LIGHT THE BURNER:
    1. Open adopters for gas to flow from all the cylinders in any one of the two manifolds. 
    2. Open main shutoff valve, so as to permit gas flow to the pipeline 
    3. Now the gas is flowing from cylinders to the pipeline and to burners. 
    4. Hold a lighted matchstick near the burner head ( Do not use waste paper or rags).
    5. Turn the knob of the needle control valve of the burner and simultaneously place the lighted match on top of the burner. The flowing gas will catch fire immediately and the burner will start burning.

10.Proecdure to connect & disconnect cylinders by domestic users

(For Domestic Customers only)

 For changing cylinders fitted with new self closing valve

DISCONNECTING THE CYLINDER:

  1. Figure (A) shows the pressure regulator in locked position with the Cylinder.
  2. PUT OUT all open flames in the kitchen.
  3. CLOSE knobs on the burner.
  4. TURN the KNOB of the PRESSURE REGULATOR upwards in clockwise direction, so that the knob touches the button portion of the joint in the regulator. Lift up the sleeve in the ball bearing. Now the regulator is free and can be removed or detached easily. (Fig. B).
  5. Keep the sleeve with ball bearing (black in colour) in lifted position. GRIP the regulator and gently lift it away from VALVE (Fig. C).
  6. Place the safety CAP on top of the valve. PRESS the cap firmly down until a distinct click is heard (Fig. H). Now the empty cylinder can be removed.

CONNECTING CYLINDER:

  1. To remove the safety cap, PULL the cord (Fig. D) and LIFT the cap of the valve (Fig. E)
  2. To FIX the regulator on the filled cylinder, first check that the knob is in position described in (4) above (Fig. B).
  3. TURN the knob of the regulator to HORIZONTAL position. The regulator is now LOCKED to the valve and cannot be detached. The knob is now in OFF position and there is no flow of gas (Fig. F).
  4. TURN the knob of the regulator to a position with the knob handle facing vertically down. This opens the valve on the LPG Cylinder allowing the Gas to pass through the regulator to the stove (Fig. G).

TO LIGHT BURNER:

  1. Switch ON the REGULATOR by turning the knob so that the PR knobs as in Fig. A.
  2. HOLD a lighted matchstick near the burner head.

Turn the knob of the BURNER to ON position.WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED USING THE BURNER. SWITCH OFF THE PRESSURE REGULATOR BY TURNING KNOB TO HORIZONTAL POSITION (FIG. F). AND CLOSE THE BURNER KNOB.

11.Procedure to be followed by a citizen of India, in the State of Karnataka to apply for & obtain a ration card. Top

The Govt issues ration card to the citizens. Dept. of Food & Civil Supplies, in the state of Karnataka, issues this document.

There are 2 types of ration cards issued by the Govt. They are

  1. APL cards: Issued to those who are classified as above the poverty line.
  2. BPL cards: Issued to those who are classified as below the poverty line.

The Applicant must submit the following to the respective offices for issue of Ration card.

  1. Application on plain paper to the concerned officer (as below).
  2. Copy of the voter identity card (carry the original for verification).
  3. Certificate for removal from old Ration card from any other State or District or Zonal authorities.

Prior to 2003, all cards were manual. With effect from 1/1/2004, all cards are computerized.

12.Registering for a DBC (double bottle connection) or additional (or second) cylinder, for an existing gas connection

  1. You are an existing customer of a particular gas agency affiliated to any of the PSU Oil Companies. 
  2. At the time of allotment of your gas connection, you were given a document which is called the Subscription Voucher (SV). 
  3. Visit the showroom of your gas agency with your original SV and a copy of it. 
  4. Based on your SV, the distributor will enter your name in a document called “INDANE CUSTOMER DBC REGISTRATION REGISTER (format SL69)”. 
  5. A copy of the same will be handed over to you with the signature of the distributor. The distributor for future reference will retain a copy of the same with your signature. 
  6. You will be intimated by post (under certificate of posting) immediately on maturity of your registration. 
  7. Registration for new gas connection with an INDANE distributor is free of cost.

13.REGISTERING or BOOKING FOR Indane REFILL.

Top

At the time of giving you a new connection, you were delivered one or two LPG cylinders, which were at that time filled with Indane (LPG). With usage they are now empty and you need a cylinder with LPG in it. This subsequent replacement is called a REFILL.

  1. BOOKING OVER THE TELEPHONE .
  2. BOOKING by Email / Webpage.
  3. BOOKING by SMS ( unique to customers of Raja Enterprises only)
  4. In addition to the above procedures, you can also book for your refills by:
14.Procedure to be followed by customers in case of loss of LPG equipment belonging to M/s Indian Oil Corporation Ltd Top

In the event of loss of either a LPG cylinder or a pressure regulator, a registered customer of INDANE of M/s Indian Oil Corporation Ltd must do the following:-

  1. Inform his/her INDANE distributor in writing immediately.
  2. Register a police complaint and obtain a FIR copy.
  3. After the case is solved/settled (usually 3 months), obtain a copy of the final report from the police station.
  4. With a copy of this final report approach the Area office of IOCL and submit an application with a request for alternate equipment in lieu of the lost one.
  5. IOC will then advise such customer to pay the  tariff deposit for the lost equipment, which must be paid by way of a bank draft in favour of IOC.
  6. Against the acknowledgement for the tariff deposit received, M/s Indian Oil will then advice its concerned distributor to issue a replacement LPG equipment in lieu of the lost one.
  7. The concerned LPG distributor will prepare the concerned document (LPG-45 or VR) and issue the replacement equipment.
  8. Before the actual documentation for issue of replacement equipment, the customer is required to produce his/her original SV/TSV along with the DGC Card (Blue Book or Gas Card or Gas Book) along with an identify document of the customer. These must be produced to the concerned INDANE distributor.

Please note that tariff recovery amount is payable by a customer only if the request for replacement to support by a Police FIR. In cases where police FIR is not available, then the customer is liable to pay PENAL TARIFF.

15.Procedure to be adopted by a customer, if he/she has lost the subscription voucher(SV) Top

An INDANE distributor issues subscription Voucher (SV) to a customer when he/she enrolls as a customer at the INDANE distributorship. SV is a very important document and must be retained by the customer till such time the INDANE connection is in use. In case the customer wants to shift from city A to city B, or change INDANE distributor within the same city, this SV will have to be surrendered, against which a Termination voucher (TV)/ Transfer Termination Voucher (TTV)  is issued.

If by chance, this important document (SV) is lost or misplaced, please follow the procedure below:

  1. Make an application on a plain paper stating the facts, addressed to the your INDANE distributor.
  2. To this application, enclose an indemnity bond on RS 20.00 non-judicial stamp paper, duly notarized, as per the format below.
  3. Produce your DGC card (Gas card or Blue Book) along with any photo identification for further documentation by your INDANE Distributor.
  4. After signature verification from the old records, the distributor will make necessary endorsements on the indemnity bond submitted by the customer and also on the DGC card to effect that the customer has lost the SV.
  5. Such an indemnity bond after due endorsement by the concerned INDANE distributor, will be treated as the SV for all further transactions.
  6. Against this indeminty bond (now SV), distributor will issue TV / TTV as and when required by the customer.  

Format of Indemnity bond to be submitted by INDANE customer who has lost his/her Subscription Voucher (SV) on RS 20.00 non-judicial stamp paper.

16.Procedure to be adopted by a customer, if he/she has lost the Termination Voucher(TV) Top

Termination voucher (TV) is a very important document and must be retained by the customer till such time the INDANE connection is not encashed at the new town/city. When the customer wants to enroll or encash his old INDANE connection in a new city or town, he/she will be issued with a TV (for use during out station transfer) in exchange for the SV/TSV. This TV will have to be surrendered to the new INDANE distributor at the new location in order to obtain the INDANE connection reconnected. If by chance, this important document is lost or misplaced, please follow the procedure below:

  1.  Make an application on a plain paper stating the facts, addressed to the nearest Customer service cell of M/s Indian Oil Corporation Ltd ( address of the nearest IOCL office in your new location)
  2. To this application, enclose an indemnity bond on RS 20.00 non-judicial stamp paper, duly notarized, as per format.
  3. Produce your old DGC card (Gas card or Blue Book) along with any photo identification to the IOCL Office for verification.
  4. After signature & document verification by the IOCL officer, he/she will give necessary instructions to the concerned INDANE distributor.
  5. Based on the instruction of the IOCL office, the INDANE distributor at your new location will make necessary endorsements on the indemnity bond submitted by the customer and also on the DGC card to effect that the customer has lost the TV.
  6. Later this new INDANE distributor will enroll the customer by issuing a SV with necessary endorsement that this customer had lost the TV and that the SV now being made is based on the Indemnity Bond and the advice of the IOCL officer. The INDANE distributor will retain the indemnity bond. The new INDANE distributor will seek confirmation of the TV issued by the old INDANE distributor by postal mail.

FORMAT of Indemnity bond to be submitted by INDANE customer who has lost his/her Termination Voucher (TV) on RS 20.00 non-judicial stamp paper.

17.Procedure to be adopted by a customer, if he/she has lost the Transfer Subscription Voucher(TSV) Top

 

Transfer Subscription Voucher (TSV) is issued to a customer when he/she enrolls as a customer of an INDANE distributor, upon shifting within the same city and on surrender of Transfer Termination Voucher (TTV).

TSV is a very important document and must be retained by the customer till such time the INDANE connection is being used. This is issued in exchange for a SV/TSV, when a customer changes his INDANE distributor in the same City or Town. In case the customer wants to shift from city A to City B, or change INDANE distributor with the same city, this TSV will have to be surrendered, against which a Termination Voucher (TV) is issued.

If by chance, TSV is lost or misplaced, please follow the procedure below:

  1. Make an application on a plain paper stating the facts, addressed to the your INDANE distributor.
  2. To this application, enclose an indemnity bond on RS 20.00 non-judicial stamp paper, duly notarized, as per format below.
  3. Produce your DGC card (Gas card or Blue Book) along with any photo identification for further documentation by your INDANE Distributor.
  4. After signature verification from the old records, the distributor will make necessary endorsements on the indemnity bond submitted by the customer and also on the DGC card to effect that the customer has lost the TSV.
  5. Such an indemnity bond after due endorsement by the concerned INDANE distributor, will be treated as the TSV for all further transactions.

18.Procedure to be adopted by a customer, if he/she has lost the Transfer Termination Voucher(TTV) Top

Transfer Termination Voucher (TTV) is a very important document and must be retained by the customer till such time the INDANE connection is not encashed at the new distributorship in the same town/city. When the customer wants to enroll or encash his old INDANE connection at the new distributorship in the same city or town, or change distributor with the same city, he/she will have been issued with TTV in exchange for the SV or TSV. This TTV is to be surrendered if the INDANE connection is to be reconnected.

If by chance, this important document is lost or misplaced, please follow the procedure below:

  1. Make an application on a plain paper stating the facts, addressed to the your INDANE distributor.
  2. To this application, enclose an indemnity bond on RS 20.00 non-judicial stamp paper, duly notarized, as per format below.
  3. Produce your DGC card (Gas card or Blue Book) along with any photo identification for further documentation by your INDANE Distributor.
  4. After signature & document verification by your old INDANE distributor, he/she will make necessary endorsement & confirm the correctness of the details in the Indemnity bond.
  5. Produce all the above documents, with the endorsement by your old INDANE distributor to your new INDANE distributor., along with your Pressure Regulator (PR) for verification of the Batch No & other manufacturing details of PR.
  6. Your new INDANE distributor will enroll you as his/her customer after obtaining a telephonic confirmation, which will be followed by a postal confirmation of the last TTV by your old INDANE distributor.
  7. Later this new INDANE distributor will enroll the customer by issuing a SV with necessary endorsement that this customer had lost the TTV and that the SV now being made is based on the Indemnity Bond and the telephonic confirmation of the old INDANE distributor. The new INDANE distributor will retain the indemnity bond.

20.Procedure to be followed by customers to change the ownership of Indane LPG equipment belonging Indian Oil Corporation Ltd Top

In the event of a LPG customer wants to change the ownership of a INDANE connection, he/she must do the following.

  1. Inform his/her INDANE distributor in writing immediately.
  2. Get the details of his/her connection verified from the distributor.
  3. Approach the nearest Area office of IOCL controlling his/her distributor with a written application and original of the subscription voucher (SV). 
  4. Based on findings in an interview by the officer of the IOCL, he/she will be advised to submit an indemnity bond on RS 20.00 non-judicial stamp paper.
  5. All concerned must sign and get this Indemnity Bond notarized. 
  6. This notarized Indemnity bond will then have to be approved by the officer of IOCL.
  7. This authorized document will then have to be submitted to the concerned INDANE distributor, who will make the necessary documents to change the ownership of the INDANE connection.

Please note that change of ownership is not a right and is entirely done at the discretion of the officer of Indian oil corporation Ltd, who follows certain laid down policy guidelines.

21.Procedure for surrendering an existing indane connection on a permanent basis or under safe custody Top

If you own an INDANE connection with  5 Kg or 14.2 kg or 19-kg cylinder it can be surrendered on a permanent basis. It can also be surrendered on a temporary basis under “SAFE CUSTODY BASIS”. The procedure to be followed is as under:

  1. Ensure you have your original SV or SVs and TSVs as the case may be. If not, arrange for the INDEMNITY BOND on stamp paper of RS 20.00, by following the procedure for  Loss of SV /Loss of TSV
  2. You will have to return your cylinder/s and pressure regulator to your INDANE distributor. You can either return these on your own or ask your INDANE distributor to arrange for their pickup, which is done free of cost. 
  3. Visit your INDANE distributor, and return SL No.1 and 2 above, with a two-line letter confirming your intention to surrender the gas connection under safe custody basis. 
  4. The INDANE distributor, will accept your cylinder/s and PR, together with the SVs/TSVs, and in return prepare a TV
  5. Against this TV, your security deposit will be refunded by the INDANE Distributor and  endorsed as "safe custody basis". 
  6. Under the “SAFE CUSTODY BASIS” you can keep this TV with you and encash the same anywhere in India, from any distributor of LPG of the same PSU within 365 days. 
  7. However, if you are surrendering the connection on a permanent basis, the TV will be retained by the distributor.

22.Procedure for transfer of a Gas connection from INDIAN Oil to any other PSU Oil Company from city A to city B

This facility is available when a customer transfers his residence from City A to City B either due to transfer of his/her job and otherwise and only if the distributor of the same company is not operating at the new city/town.

Obtain TV (2 copies) from your old Indane distributor in old location after surrendering your loaned Indane equipment  (Cylinder and Pressure Regulator). At the same time ensure that the security deposit paid by you initially is refunded (generally by cash) 

The TV so issued is valid for a period of one year from the date its issue. In case you are not able to encash the TV within this period, approach the nearest customer service cell of the Indian Oil, whose distributor has issued the TV

Upon reaching new city/town, obtain NOC from the office of Indian Oil  in the new city/town, so that the new company can accept this TV. Present this TV (both copies) along with the NOC and proof of residence

After verification of the documents, the distributor will accept the deposit amounts as mentioned in the TV from old City/Town and enroll you as his new customer. The equipment will have to be installed in your home by the distributor in the new city/town within 10 days after you have paid the deposit and obtained the SV from him. 

Later, the distributor at the new city/town will write confidentially to the distributor who has issued the TV for its correctness. The cost for this will be borne by the distributor at the new city/town. Even if the confirmation is not received within 10 days as above, the distributor at new city/town will have to install the equipment at your home. He will take up through Company channels about the non-receipt of the confirmation that he had sought.

 

23.Procedure for transfer of a Gas connection from INDIAN Oil to INDIAN Oil from city A to city B

This facility is available when a customer transfers his residence from City A to City B either due to transfer of his/her job and otherwise.

The cost for this will be borne by the distributor at the new city/town. Even if the confirmation is not received within 10 days as above, the distributor at new city/town will have to install the equipment at your home. He will take up through Company channels about the non-receipt of the confirmation that he had sought.

 

24.Procedure for transfer of a Gas connection from INDIAN Oil to INDIAN Oil within same city or town.

This facility is available when a customer transfers his residence within the same city / town ( but of supply area of the existing distributor) either due to transfer of his/her job, shifting of residence or otherwise. 

Obtain TTV (2 copies) from your Indane distributor in old location. Retain loaned Indane equipments (Cylinder and Pressure Regulator) and carry the same to your new location at your cost & effort. In such cases the security deposit paid by you initially will not be refunded.

The TTV so issued is valid for a period of one year from the date of issue. In case you are not able to encash the same within this period, approach the customer service cell of Indian Oil. 

Upon reaching new location with in the same city/town, present this TTV (both copies) along with proof of residence along with a copy of your job transfer order or a letter from your employer. 

After verification of the documents, the Indane distributor will enroll you as his new customer.

Later, the Indane distributor at the new location will write confidentially to the Indane distributor who has issued the TTV for its correctness. The cost for this will be borne by the Indane distributor at the new city/town.

25.Procedure for transfer of a Gas connection from INDIAN Oil to any other PSU Oil Company within same city or town.

This facility is available when a customer transfers his residence within a city/town either due to transfer of his/her job and otherwise, or if the customer is not happy with the services of his present distributor. 

Obtain TV (2 copies) from your old distributor in old location after surrendering your loaned equipment of Cylinder and pressure regulator. At the same time ensure that the security deposit paid by you initially is refunded (generally by cash) 

The TV so issued is valid for a period of one year from the date its issue. In case you are not able encash the same within this period, approach the nearest customer service cell of the respective Oil Company, whose distributor has issued the TV

Obtain NOC from the office of the old company, so that the new company can accept this TV. Present this TV (both copies) along with the NOC and proof of residence.

After verification of the documents, the distributor will accept the deposit amounts as mentioned in the TV and enroll you as his new customer. The equipment will have to be installed in your home by the distributor within 10 days after you have paid the deposit and obtained the SV from him.
